Ripon Museum
For their trip to Ripon Museum, the Year 6 class visited the Courthouse and Prison & Police Museums.
In the courthouse they got an opportunity to take part in a historic trial in a Georgian Courthouse, and dressed their part as a defendent, clerk of court, magistrate, member of the jury, witness and court reporter.
At the Prison & Police Museum, the children did a role-play based on the story of notorious poachers and their arrest. They had a fun time dressing up and using the props of early policing and learnt how the police force and transportation was set up.
